| This year we will have a full program
of top quality stand up comedians...here's a few of em...
Bentley
Bentley is “the hammer that knocks the nail in” for
the comedy at Endorse It being both MC and comedy organiser for
the weekend. This incorrigible pirate like figure is an excellent
and sought after comic in his own right, but his mischievousness
really shines when MC’ing an event like this as he welcomes
you into the comedy arena.
He has been described as rustically risqué and rurally
right on, the drinking woman’s Jethro and one west country
paper is quoted as saying “You get the distinct and worrying
impression that he as actually done the things he talks about.
Del Strain
Del Strain in his own words “I GET A BUZZ FROM DOING STAND
UP COMEDY ! THAT I HAVNT FELT SINCE PUNK ROCK, LIKE SEEING THE
SEX PISTOLS ON REVOLVER OR DANCING IN A FIELD WITH 100,000 AT
SUNRISE BACK IN THE DAY-THATS HOW MUCH I LOVE MAKING PEOPLE LAUGH
AND ITS GOOD KARMA”
Susan Vale
Joint winner of last years EIID’s Scrumpy Comedy Prize
Susan Vale’s act involves sifting through and sharing the
mounting debris that has drifted in and settled in her head. She
didn't find any use for this in her previous job as a shepherd,
so she decided to become a comedian in order to give her thoughts
an airing. Beware because her softly-spoken voice disguises the
venom that comes from within. Swapping sheep for showbiz and lambs
for laughter allows her to wander through her own minefields of
fun without having to come home afterwards covered in excreta
and smelling of wool (not unless it’s a particularly good
gig).
Susan Murray
Having been successful on the circuit for over 10 years now,
Susan Murray has the mentality of a spiteful 14 yr old boy! Which
is very admirable in a young lady!. She is an alluring (and arousing)
combination of world-wise chic chick, trashy tramp, and frisky
midlands lass. Very funny and looks great in a posh frock
Tim Ewins
Joint winner of last years EIID Scrumpy Comedy Prize, Tim Ewins
started writing comedy songs to make his friends like him a bit.
Since then he has played his tunes to many comedy clubs up and
down he country (although himself midlands based) and has been
very successful in getting all types of audiences on his side.
He has a good line in stand up and pant shittingly funny songs
to share.
Ian Cognito
Ian Cognito is one of the best comics on the national circuit,
a veteran who clearly knows what he’s doing as he spits
his darkly humorous vitriol over an unsuspecting crowd. Outspoken,
opinionated, and totally clued up, this man’s take on the
world will have you convinced and convulsed (with laughter).
"Cognito puts them all in the shade. If you want to know
what’s wrong with New Britain, Ian Cognito’s going
to tell you. And if you don’t, you’d better keep your
mouth shut. Just stunning." - Phil Daoust, The Guardian
Hacksaw & Lobotomy
Hacksaw & Lobotomy are a wonderfully mad lungful of joyously
fresh comedy air. They are purveyors of mad shite comedy magic
and have been likened to Penn and Teller on acid.
They have the crowd on the edge of their seats thinking no they
couldn't... and then collapsed back in their seats howling with
laughter thinking oh yes they f#*king could"
Paul B Edward
The terrific Rock'n'Roll Poet, Paul B Edward, he might look like
a square bit he’s been around. His act is a treasure chest
packed to bursting with all sorts of comedy goodies and he is
a huge fan of this festival.
His alter ego is the DJ Punky from www.punkyradio.com
